State Senator
Senator Kelly Kultala represents the 5th District in Kansas, which includes the cities of Ft. Leavenworth, Leavenworth, Lansing, western Kansas City, and Bonner Springs. She is the Ranking Democrat on the Transportation and Local Government Committees and is a member of the Ways & Means, Ethics & Elections and Special Claims Against the State Committees.
Previously, she served on the Piper School Board and the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas Board of Commissioners. She is the director of community outreach for Youthville, Inc., which is one of Kansas’ largest child welfare agencies. She and her husband Daniel have been married 31 years and have three grown daughters, a son-in-law and 2 grandchildren.
