Joerg Ohle was appointed Head of the Animal Health Division for the North America region at Bayer HealthCare LLC in Kansas City, Missouri, on November 1, 2004.
Ohle was born in Leverkusen on June 25, 1958. After finishing school, he began a training course at Bayer AG in August 1977 culminating in an associate degree in business administration in 1980. After performing various duties in Polymer Sales and completing another assignment within the Pharmaceuticals Business Group in 1981, he transferred abroad in 1982. There he performed various marketing and sales functions, including a stay in El Salvador until 1984 and an assignment as Regional Head in East Africa. After returning to Germany in June 1987, he became Marketing Manager for the Middle East/Africa region in the Pharmaceuticals Business Group. In August 1989 he again transferred abroad to become Head of the Pharmaceuticals and Consumer Care business groups in Chile. Between 1993 and 1996 he headed up various marketing and sales functions for the Consumer Care Business Group in Leverkusen, including a final assignment as Head of the Europe Region. Ohle became Head of the Southeast Asia region in 1997, and of the Asia/Pacific region for Consumer Care in 1999 before taking charge on June 1, 2002, of the overall Asia/Pacific operations of Bayer HealthCare - headquartered in Singapore - with responsibility for all HealthCare divisions.
Ohle is married and has three children.
