Greg Graves became president and chief operating officer of Burns & McDonnell on January 1, 2003, and was named chief executive officer on October 1, 2003. He is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the firm. In addition, he coordinates the activities of the firm's various production and support groups to assure uniformity and consistency in both domestic and international operations, as well as developing and executing corporate policies and goals.
Greg is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, Missouri Society of Professional Engineers, Western Chapter of MSPE, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. In addition, he is a member of the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City, the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, the Board of Trustees of the Midwest Research Institute, and the board of directors of the Kansas City Sports Commission, Starlight Theatre, the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, the Kansas City Area Development Council and United Missouri Bank. He is registered in seven states.
Greg graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 1980 and received an MBA degree in executive management from Rockhurst University in 1987.
